Darrell D-Llock Locket

DARRELL “D-Lock” LOCKET, MAT, ATC/L, LMT, CSCS, NSCA-CPT, CKTP, GT, Cert DN, is a Licensed Athletic Trainer and Massage Therapist, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Certified Personal Trainer, Certified Kinesiology Taping Methods, Certified Graston Technique, Certified Dry Needling, as well as trained in PNF-Manual Therapy, Spinal Manipulation and Traditional Chinese Medicine in Beijing China with over two decade of experience in the field of heath, sports medicine, athletic healthcare, human performance, personal training, strength training and conditioning drills, massage and bodywork therapy, injury diagnosis, rehabilitation and pain management for a variety of musculoskeletal injuries.

Mr. Locket is the founder of D-Lock, Musculoskeletal Specialist, LLC in Jacksonville, Florida. He is presently contracted as a Rehabilitation Specialist and Performance Coach for the Chinese Olympic Committee Men’s and Women’s Freestyle Wrestling Teams prepared them for the 2019 World Championships in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan and 2020 Olympic Summer Games in Tokyo, Japan from Beijing China. His day-to-day duties are for injury prediction and prevention, injury evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation and reconditioning, as well as periodization strength and conditioning individuals and/or team, as part of a performance team Mr. Locket was trained under several experienced Chinese doctors (January 1999 – August 2020) to deliver Traditional Chinese Medicine methodology which includes basic acupuncture, Chinese massage, fire cupping, and gua-sha.

Before joining Team China, he worked as an independent contractor/speaker for PESI Rehab, LLC, a nationally recognized evidence-based practice continuing education and professional development company creating live-seminars for chiropractors, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and/or other clinical healthcare providers in the field of injury prevention, evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation related to musculoskeletal injuries and conditions.

From 1999 – 2010, Mr. Locket has served as the Head Athletic Trainer, Strength and Conditioning Coordinator, and/or Professor for several HBCUs such as Mississippi Valley State University, Hampton University, Edward Waters College, and Lincoln University of Pennsylvania where the Men’s and Women’s Track and Field Teams have combined for 17 NCAA Division III National Championships

Mr. Locket completed his Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts in Teaching degrees in Physical Education with an emphasis in Sports Medicine/Athletic Training from the University of West Alabama under Dr. R.T. Floyd and team orthopedic surgeon Dr. James Andrews. He also attended the Utah College of Massage Therapy in Salt Lake City to expand my overall knowledge of bodywork therapy and holistic approaches to healing. 

In addition to Mr. Locket education, he is certificated as an Athletic Trainer ’99 by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association; Strength and Conditioning Specialist ’96 and Personal Trainer ’97 by the National Strength and Conditioning Association; Kinesio Taping Practitioner ’09 by the Kinesio® Taping Association International; Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization Provider ’13 by Graston Technique, Dry Needling ‘19 by American Academy of Manipulative Therapy; trained in Spinal Manipulation by American Academy of Manipulative Therapy, and Traditional Chinese Medicine Acupuncture, Gua Sha, Fire Cupping, Trigger Point, and Mr. Locket is very passion about cooking and teaching other how to prepare healthy meals.
